Santander unveil new signing Garay (3 Feb 2006 17:17 GMT)
Racing Santander have unveiled their new Argentine signing Ezequiel Garay from Newell's Old Boys.
"He is a youth international who helped Argentina win the under-20 world championship last year, along with players like Lionel Messi," said Racing president Manuel Huerta.
The 19-year-old center-back, the club's last recruit in the January transfer window, has signed a five-year contract.
Garay joins defenders Pablo Alfaro and Damia Abella, goalkeeper Juanjo Valencia, Chilean Mauricio Pinilla and South Korean Lee Ho-jin as Racing's January signings.
After a poor start to the season, Racing are now 12th in the Primera Liga.
