Diego Maradona would be willing to coach his country if Argentina fail to win the World Cup this summer.
"If Jose Pekerman comes home with the title, of course he'd remain in charge of the team," Maradona said.
However, in the case of failure at the Germany finals, the Argentine legend said he would meet Julio Grondona, president of the national football association, to "decide what he should do".
Either way, Maradona says that he can imagine getting involved with the national team set up in some capacity after the World Cup finals.
Grondona wanted to get Maradona involved several months back, but the World Cup winner from 1986 had other commitments.
