Independiente's shining new star Sergio Agüero has finally admitted that his future is most likely going to be in the ranks of Atlético Madrid.
The player said that it was "highly probable" that the game against Olimpo would be "my last match in Argentinean football". Agüero, one of the keys in the 2-0 win over Olimpo at the Carminatti stadium, is out of the upcoming duel with Boca.
When asked about a transfer that the Independiente hierarchy roundly deny, Agüero tried a timid "dunno", but went on to tacitly admit that his future lies outside Independiente. "There's a lot of talk about whether I stay or go; all I can say is that I don't think I'll play next season with Independiente", said the Reds idol. "If my sale helps the club, then I'm a happy man".
