Redknapp confirms transfer talks for D'Alessandro (7 May 2006 21:28 GMT)
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has revealed talks have opened with Wolfsburg midfielder Andres D'Alessandro about a permanent deal at Fratton Park.
Redknapp told The News: "We are certainly trying to do something with Andres. Peter Storrie is speaking to his agent and to his club to try to do a deal."
"He works hard, trains hard, is a good professional, good lad and a real talent," he added. "His wife has had a baby here and he's settled well. I'm hoping Peter can do a deal with him."
