Messi dreams of being World Champion (22 May 2006 19:30 GMT)
FC Barcelona's most explosive internal revelation of the last decade, Lionel Messi, is back in Argentina readying himself to be part of José Pekerman's 23 players that will be faced with the honour (and the burden) of resurrecting Argentina on the world footballing stage.
The youngster is getting back to normal after the injury worries that gnawed away his presence during the crunch (and glory) moments lived by Barcelona this season. "I've already got over the injury, and I'm back to normal training. I'm just dreaming of being World Champion".
Messi already has an inkling of the sensation after winning the under-20 tournament in Holland 2005, and has mixed feelings at Pekerman's call-up list.
"'I'm happy that they called up Ustari but I'd also like to have seen Aguero there, because they played with me in Holland, but it's sad not to see Lux and Zanetti, but these are coaching decisions".
Messi also had words of praise for Juan Roman Riquelme.
"He's great player and aside form being a pleasure it's an education to play beside them. I'm going to play alongside Roman in Germany."
