Argentine club Independiente has confirmed that it will not sell teenage sensation Sergio Aguero for until at-least six more months, but will only accept a big money move. Independiente has recently stated that they will keep Aguero until the end of the 2006 Clausura Championship, but will change its mind only if a club is willing to pay US$20 million.
Aguero, age 17, is the revelation of the Argentine Apertura Championship, and is considered one of the most promising stars in Argentine soccer. His recent performances suggest that he has an outside chance of being selected in Argentina's 2006 World Cup squad.
Aguero has scored 9 times in the Apertura, and has helped Independiente become strong candidates to win the title. He has attracted interest from various top European clubs from England, Spain, and Italy, as well as from Brazilian champions Corinthians.
