Ayala warns of wounded foes (15 Jun 2006 19:32 GMT)
Argentina centre-back Roberto Ayala has warned his team-mates not to underestimate the dangers that Serbia & Montenegro pose.
The Serbo-Montenegrins suffered a 1-0 reverse against Holland in their opening game and have since lost Nemanja Vidic and Mirko Vucinic to injury.
A defeat against Argentina when the two sides square up in their second Group C encounter in Gelsenkirchen on Friday would signal the end of their World Cup hopes.
Ayala is wary of this and warned his side they will have to be on their guard.
"Serbia & Montenegro are a team that played below their capabilities," Ayala said. "They have good players and that defeat will motivate them to go forward more, looking for a good result. They must be taken into account, and we must be careful and play our football against them."
"Milosevic and Kezman are two forwards that complement each other very well," Ayala continued. "When they attack through the channels they become stronger and we must control that. We have to see what character they will have because it's obvious they have some problems. But when the time comes to play the game your character will usually be the same as for any other game."
