Abbondanzieri discussing Getafe move (17 Jun 2006 20:49 GMT)
Argentina goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri is reportedly negotiating a move from Boca Juniors to Spanish side Getafe.
Abbondanzieri, who has helped Argentina win two out of two games at the World Cup, said talks are "very advanced," according to leading sports daily Marca on Saturday.
The 33-year-old Abbondanzieri, named South America's goalkeeper of the year in 2003, has been Argentina's first choice for the last two years.
Abbondanzieri has spent nine years with Boca, winning three Copa Libertadores in 14 titles overall.
Getafe, a team from the southern outskirts of Madrid, has just finished ninth in its second season in the 20-team first division.
