Holland to play a host of friendlies (23 Dec 2005 20:05 GMT)
Holland will play friendly internationals against Ecuador, Cameroon, Mexico and Australia in the run up to next year's World Cup Finals in Germany, the Dutch football association announced on Monday.
They will face Ecuador on March 1 in Amsterdam and Cameroon on May 27 in Rotterdam. The Dutch team will complete their build-up for the World Cup, which kicks off on June 9, against Mexico and Australia on June 1 and 4 respectively before travelling to Germany on June 6.
Holland will play their first match in the Finals on June 11 in Leipzig against Serbia and Montenegro. Ivory Coast and Argentina are the other two teams in Group C.
Lately, Pekerman stated that Argentina would play just one friendly before World Cup - with Croatia on 1st March, 2006.
