Tottenham have confirmed there is no truth in reports linking them with a move for veteran Argentina defender Roberto Ayala.
Spurs have been consistently linked with the Valencia centre-half as possible cover for the defence while Ledley King battles to recover from his cartilage surgery.
But the north Londoners have made it known they have no interest in Ayala - insisting there was never any truth in the suggestions.
