Gabriel Heinze returns to the Manchester United squad for the first time this season for the Premiership trip to Reading on Saturday.
The Argentinian full-back has not played for Red Devils since returning from the World Cup less than fully fit but his availability could not be better timed as Mikael Silvestre is ruled out with a twisted ankle.
