Blues and United battle for Higuain (16 Oct 2006 16:54 GMT)
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with River Plate striker Gonzalo Higuain although his club have slapped a £10million pricetag on the player.
The Premiership giants are both keeping tabs on the hottest properties in world football and as well as United States teenager Freddy Adu, Higuain is also rated in the top bracket.
The 19-year-old has also attracted interest from Barcelona and Inter Milan and would not have a problem moving to Europe as he has an EU passport from his French background.
Higuain has yet to play for Argentina but is part owner by super agent Pini Zahavi who is looking to get the player into Europe and both Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson have been alerted.
