Australia-based Gabriel Batistuta admits he fancies the Argentina national coaching job.
Batistuta, who is settled in Perth where his children attend school, has made a 'call me' plea to Argentina president Julio Grondona.
"I feel I am ready to take it on, even after two years," said Batistuta. "I know there's many names being put forward, but I hope Grondona calls me."
On this year's World Cup, Batistuta added: "Argentina played great football and only were eliminated because of bad luck."
