Maradona to visit Indonesia (18 Mar 2007 10:10 GMT)
Argentina soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona will visit Indonesia on May 27 as part of his Asian tour with 10 compatriots of former teammates.
Maradona and 10 former Argentine internationals will play Indonesia's under-23 team as well as a Jakarta's local club, said Nelson Leon Sanchez, the spokesperson for the tour.
Maradona will also give a coaching clinic to the national team.
"The most important part of the visit is how Maradona can boost the spirit of Indonesian young players," Sanchez was quoted Friday by major national newspaper Tempo's website as saying.
Among other teammates in the Jakarta visit are legendary goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea and midfielder Matias Almeyda.
