Crespo needs a miracle (4 Jul 2007 07:14 GMT)
Argentina top forward Hernan Crespo said he needs a miracle to play another match at the Copa America after suffering an injury during Monday's game against Colombia.
Crespo converted a penalty in Argentina's 4-2 win over Colombia but appeared to sprain a muscle in his right leg as he kicked the ball and was immeidately substituted for Diego Milito.
"I know the technical staff will do everything they can but I think we will need a miracle," he said in a televised interview. "I'm an optimist by nature. There are 13 days of the tournament to go and I will keep hoping until the very last day."
Crespo, who did not give specific details of the injury, is playing in the tournament for the first time at 31 and is joint top scorer with three goals.
