Cesar Delgado asks for Cruz Azul exit (11 Aug 2007 09:47 GMT)

Argentine striker Cesar Delgado has affirmed that his main intention is to leave Mexican club Cruz Azul, and he hopes the club will accept one of the many offers that have arrived for him.

The classy striker believes it is time to move on after four years at the club, and although other Mexican clubs have shown an interest in him, he prefers to play in Europe or back in his native Argentina.

The former Rosario Central striker is looking to get back into the national team fold, and believes a change of air will be a good idea to get him there. He has represented Argentina twenty times in the past, and was part of the side that won the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

In recent weeks he has been linked with possible moves to Olympiakos, Atletico Madrid, Boca Juniors and Rosario Central.
