Argentine players praise Bielsa before qualifier (11 Oct 2007 05:10 GMT)
Argentine players Javier Zanetti, Gabriel Heinze, and Maxi Rodriguez praised Chilean national team manager Marcelo Bielsa, who will be on the opposite side of the bench when Argentina meet Chile in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
Bielsa, who was in charge of the Argentine national team between 1998-2004, always had a very good relationship with his squad members, and was praised by his former players.
"He taught us lots of things both in football and in life," Inter Milan defender Javier Zanetti told the press.
Gabriel Heinze, of Real Madrid, thought likewise, telling reporters: "Bielsa is a respectable person, and an extraordinary manager."
Atletico Madrid midfielder Maximiliano Rodriguez declared that Bielsa is exactly the type of manager that Chilean football needed, and he will do a wealth of good to the national side.
"He will help Chile, he is a manager with lots of experience," he affirmed.
