Inter Milan's Argentine defender Walter Samuel injured a knee ligament in 2-1 win over archrivals AC Milan.
"Tests showed an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee," the Italian champions said on Inter.it.
According to Italian media, the injury will require surgery and Samuel risks missing the rest of the season.
