D'Alessandro move to River Plate on hold (29 Dec 2007 05:02 GMT)
D'Alessandro's agent had hoped to help his client move to River Plate, but such a switch will need to wait until the summer at least as Real Zaragoza want to hold onto troubled midfielder.
"I'm just off the phone with Agapito Iglesias, and there is no chance of a move," sighed representative Gustavo Mascardi. "He is inflexible, and we know now that there is no possibility of a switch. Andres will be back in Zaragoza on the 29th to resume training with the team."
Hot-head D'Alessandro has struggled to find consistency this season, and has even fund himself out of the team after having a bust-up with coach Victor Fernandez.
Nonetheless, Iglesias is determined that the player remain until the end of the campaign, and today's news merely confirms what was already known.
